A good start to get aquainted with round dancing on the ice, is a waltz known as 'Zwölfer'. It follows a sequence of twelve steps which are repeated. 

If you look carefully you realize that the man dances the '12er' with a crossover, while the lady dances the '10er'. Strictly speaking both dance the same number of steps.The crossover, is replaced by a Chassé from the lady's side - it still matches perfectly. :-)
